PASSAGE
2019
The unknown or the object that cannot be directly observed no longer means absolute mystery and ineffability in the context of disenchantment. Technology extends our senses, or rather creates multiple possibilities of senses; under conditions of intensity up to a certain threshold, even technology can change the original senses. This project attempts
to return to the exploration of mystery and the ineffable, and the many possibilities of bodily perception under the perspective of disenchantment, creating a new narrative and dialogue with the outside world.
The series paintings of CODE
In some basic hypnosis techniques, images and sounds play an important role as guides (or implicit signals), and stairs, doors, and windows are common components of these implicit messages. The system of hypnosis seems to me to be another kind of dialogue or terminology out of the “daily life”,whichextractsandreconstructsthesignifierofthe“daily” sequence into a new code/coordinate, creating a link out
of the daily order, connecting the self, subconsciousness and the external world. On this basis, the “Code” painting series are image codes or graphic arrays related to “passages”, on which I want to create a meditative passage connecting inner spirit and outer space.
