Reticulation: 2022-2023 Research Through Video

2022 – 2023

I come from a city in southern China, primarily focused on the textile and electronics industries. Particularly in the late 1990s and early 2000s, the upheavals caused by rapid acceleration led me to observe the world from a skewed perspective. In an increasingly decentralized context, I questioned how to find the connection nodes between each network in this imbalance, and how technology continually pushes us toward a state of ambivalence, oscillating between ‘dizziness and lucidity’ in a dynamic balance.

This video research was conducted during my first year in France. By establishing an intertextual dialogue between images, text, and sound, I aspire to intertwine
my personal experiences with public events and collective memories, in order to present a world that, in my complex perception, is actually a dynamic, multilayered, and multidimensional change.
